Welcome! My name is Jack Torpey, and I am a 2020 graduate of Pine Bush High School and a former 12th Rock athlete. On behalf of Greg, Mark, and the entire 12th Rock family, I am thrilled to share with you about the 12th Rock Alumni Association.

Since it was founded in 2012, 12th Rock has made a positive impact on thousands of young athletes and their families by fostering faith in Christ through the power of sports. I was fortunate to spend my childhood playing basketball in the organization’s youth league, and I even got to coach my younger brother’s team when I was in high school. Along the way, I formed lasting friendships, developed athletic and interpersonal skills, and learned invaluable lessons about living a life of integrity for God. Countless others were blessed with similar experiences, but since moving on from 12th Rock sports, there has been no formal way for us to stay engaged with the organization. That changes today.

The 12th Rock Alumni Association will create opportunities for former athletes and their families to reconnect with the 12th Rock community and meet fellow alumni. At the beginning of each month, you can expect to receive this newsletter, which will update you on the latest organizational news and different ways to get involved. For those looking to gather with other alumni, keep an eye out for details about events like cookouts, volunteer workdays, and Bible study sessions. There will also be opportunities to make donations in support of 12th Rock’s state-of-the-art sports complex, which is currently being developed on the organization’s property in Middletown, NY. And for anyone just hoping to keep informed about the exciting future ahead, this newsletter will be a great source of the most important 12th Rock information.

As a long-time friend of the 12th Rock family, I could not be happier to present you with the Alumni Association and the incredible opportunities for engagement that it offers. 12th Rock, as stated in its vision, seeks to “change the atmosphere of youth sports by providing positive, life-lifting experiences that honor Jesus Christ.” Those “life-lifting experiences” truly do last a lifetime, and with your enthusiasm and support, so too can the community of 12th Rock alumni.
